ABOUT ME
How did astrology dawn on me?

Back in 1988, a colleague from a creative writing class, who barely knew me, offered to ‘do’ my horoscope. I thought little of this, since at that time, I was under the popular misconception that astrology comprised sun sign columns in popular newspapers! When we met up for the interpretation of my horoscope, I was stunned! How could this person, who didn’t yet know me, have come up with such penetrating insights into my character, into the very way I experienced emotions and related to the outside world? What kind of radical symbology could open up the inner dimensions of my personality like that…?

That’s when I realised that there was something powerful within a horoscope, correlating to the critical ‘seed moment’ of one’s birth, and I began to attend astrology lectures, participate in astrological critical debate, and successfully complete a number of courses with the Company of Astrologers in London over a period of several years.

I have now been working with and interpreting horoscopes – in a humanistic rather than fatalistic way - for 28 years, complementing this activity with my interest in creative activities such as writing poetry and short stories, studying and using Tarot cards, attending mind/body/spirit events, exploring psychology, philosophy, self development, paganism, Buddhism and alchemy.

Having relocated to Brighton in 2000, I trained and practised both as a qualified Psychotherapeutic Counsellor and an English Lecturer in Further Education. I enjoy being a member of the Brighton & Hove Astrology Circle, which I regularly attend for stimulating talks and debate with fellow astrologers on diverse aspects of astrology.

Ideally, sessions take place face to face in Brighton for optimum communication, but I also offer on-line consultations on Zoom. Sessions can be recorded on your phone, if we meet in person - and otherwise - can be safely recorded on Zoom.

Counselling Practice
Having trained as an integrative Psychotherapeutic Counsellor at Crawley College, Sussex, I have worked with an eclectic client base. My approach is humanistic and holistic, and I draw on transpersonal, existential and gestalt models of counselling and psychotherapy.
